In Nouvelle-Aquitaine, a family has been joyously reunited with their cat, missing for seven years. These heartwarming reunions are sure to melt your heart.
Back in 2015, Myriam Jean, a resident of Amuré in the Deux-Sèvres department, lived through a nightmare when her two cats disappeared. The incident occurred while she was on vacation with her family, as reported by La Nouvelle République.
“My father used to check on them every day. The day before our return, he didn’t see them. And they never came back,” explains Myriam to the regional newspaper.
In response to the situation, she posted flyers around the town, but her feline companions remained elusive. Just when all hope seemed lost, Myriam’s wish was finally granted recently.
She finds her cat seven years after its disappearance Seven years after its disappearance, one of the cats, named Crackers, was found safe and sound by the association 3 Pattes. The organization shared a photo of the animal on Facebook with the caption, “CAT found in the Tonnelles neighborhood on Frontenay Rohan Rohan. Who does it belong to?”
Myriam became aware of the post thanks to a friend: “I recognized him right away!” During his escapade, the furry ball was spotted by residents of the Tonnelles neighborhood, explains Béatrice Pinot, the president of 3 Pattes.
For several years, the ginger-colored cat roamed the area before ending up at the home of a volunteer from the association, five kilometers away from Myriam.
On the day of the reunion, Crackers immediately recognized his owner. Today, the 10-year-old feline is living happily with his family: “He found his hiding spot under the stairs. And he sleeps all the time next to my head.”
