A dying cow expresses gratitude towards a man who promised to care for her newborn calf. Finding someone trustworthy to entrust our loved ones with is rare, yet when we do, it brings us immense peace. Trustworthiness is something we cultivate within ourselves, and animals, like humans, recognize those they can rely on.
Freser, a mother cow, recently gave birth to her first and last calf, facing health complications during the process. Ismael, who assisted during the birth, provided comfort and assurance to Freser amidst her struggles. In return, Freser showed her appreciation by affectionately kissing Ismael.
However, despite the safe delivery of her calf, Freser’s health deteriorated, leaving her unable to stand. Although there were no visible signs of bleeding during birth, Freser’s condition remained fragile. Sensing something was wrong, Freser shed tears as a final expression of gratitude to Ismael, entrusting him with the care of her daughter, Savi.
Shortly after giving birth, Freser passed away, finding peace knowing Savi would be cared for by Ismael. True to his word, Ismael continued to look after Savi and the other cows and bulls at the Gaia Sanctuary Foundation. You can watch a video of Freser, Savi, and Ismael here.
